J’étais victime de plusieurs formes de violence, tel que : financière, émotionnelle, psychologique, physique et sexuelle. La violence pour moi, était quelque chose que je ne voyais pas, je ne connaissais pas les signes, tout me semblais normal. Remettre mon argent à mon conjoint, me faire rabaisser devant mes amis, me faire étouffer, me faire immobiliser contre un mur, me faire prendre de la drogue involontairement. Je répétais régulièrement que « ce n’était pas si pire que ça ».

Prepare yourself by doing the following:

1. Keep a suitcase, box or bag in a place where you can grab it quickly and easily.

2. Make sure that your purse, wallet, ID papers, keys and other emergency items are located where you can grab them quickly and easily, in case you need to leave the house in a hurry.
